Backpacks, Bedtimes and Bittersweet Goodbyes

This week, David and Alicia talk about their preparation for the new school year to start.  They start with briefly reminiscing about the summer fun and the food the kids consumed while on break.

Then they discuss their routines for school.  More than just the wake up and go to sleep things but the things that make them and their kids look at life a little brighter.  From asking the kids intentional, thoughtful questions to encouraging them to look at the happier things in life.

Alicia and David remind us to enjoy each day that they have and share how they are teaching their kids to do the same.  The beginning of the school year can be stressful and a little crazy but its up to you how you decide to embrace each day with your kids, friends, parents or peers.

It took me a couple days to finish this episode but I’m not kidding, when you guys were talking about the dishes towards the end, I was doing them while listening to this..

I’m half way about but I’m at the part of where you guys were talking about the trapper keepers. I know what it is. I’ve had it before. And David when you just said ”I don’t know who listens the most” you know I like comment and listen a lot. I talk to both of you guys when I see y’all in church. And you guys should keep doing the news from the Templetons. It’s a good idea
